Day 8

Highlights from Today...

We made it through another week! Routines are slowly becoming easier, wearing masks and sanitizing are becoming easier and remembering to stay in desk is one of the hardest new routines.

Today we practiced writing our names in cursive writing, sometimes it is tricky to join the letters together without lifting our pencils, we will continue to practice letters and words throughout the year. We will also practice reading cursive writing occasionally.

We discovered that our class has the most birthdays in September as we gathered information for our birthday graph. After we collected the data for our graph, we labeled the x and y axis and gave our bar graph a title. Next, we used the information gathered to colour in the appropriate number of squares for each month. Finally we used the information to answer questions using the graph we created.




Reminders...

• On Tuesday, a package was sent home with students with demographic forms, health forms and consent forms. Please fill in, sign and return to school as soon as possible. Please make sure to look closely at all the forms to make sure you have signed all pages needed.
• If you are picking up your child after school, please make sure they know where their meeting spot is. Also, please review with them that if they wait for a while and you are not there that they should walk to the front of the school
• Our meeting spot each morning is on the soccer field
• Please send a water bottle, the water fountains are unavailable at this time
• Please make sure your child has a pair of indoor shoes, to be left at school, and outdoor shoes.
• Please label your child's masks and personal items, such as water bottles and lunch kits
