Highlights from Today...
We reviewed the rules and expectations for everyone, including wearing masks, moving in the halls, going in and outside and staying in desks while in the classroom. Remember to wear a clean mask each day with a spare mask in backpacks.
This morning we looked at the number 250 and showed everything we know about that number. A few examples of ideas were...
- it is even
- it have 2 hundreds, 5 tens, 0 ones
- it has 3 digits
- it's larger than 100 but smaller than 300
- 125 + 125 = 250
We started a September calendar and learned that we have 6 students in our class with September birthdays!
As we finished chapter 2 of Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, students began a visual journal page to draw images with all the funny parts. Ask your child about the funny part they drew.
In the afternoon, we read a book called Masked Ninja. The book talked about wearing a mask and washing our hands to help the spread of diseases such as COVID - 19. We started a cute self portrait as ourselves wearing a mask with a flip down flap to show our face underneath. Hopefully we will complete these tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone for being understanding and flexible with our school field as it is under construction. Our meeting place will continue to be on the field each morning as we line up to safely enter the school.
