Day 20

Sorry for the delay, I had to run out after school today.

Highlights from Today...

It was a busy day, but a good one.

In the morning our eye opener was a scrabble, the class won today. It was their first win of the year. The challenge was VEGETATION, students used all the letters to make as many little words as possible.

We worked on adding elaborate details in writing today, the students did a great job turning a boring repetitive sentence into one with description and variety. Tomorrow we will be looking at how to write a topic and closing sentence for a paragraph.

For Orange Shirt Day, we watched another story about residential school and wrote a short reflection on why Orange Shirt Day is important and how it makes you feel.

Our Terry Fox run was during our Phys. Ed time, we ran/walked towards the pond and around Dr. Martha Cohen field and back again. Thank you for the donations, the Terry Fox Foundation will be grateful.

This afternoon for math we practiced a little more expanded form then move into increasing sequences. Luckily almost everyone though it was easy to do, so we can move on to how we can use charts and tables to keep track of increasing and decreasing sequences.

Reminders...

  • Science homework is due on Monday, please keep track on a regular basis for this week
  • The blog will be posted in Google Classroom beginning tomorrow
